“Every time you comply, you get weaker.” — Robert F. Kennedy Jr.
We learned during COVID how quickly freedoms can disappear when people are told that surrendering “just a little” liberty is necessary for their own safety.
Now we have flock cameras expanding government surveillance. Recording where we go, who we associate with and what we do.
Every surrender of privacy and freedom establishes a new baseline for what we are expected to accept.
“Every capitulation is a signal to the oppressors to impose new forms of torment, or torture, or compliance, or obedience.”
Freedom rarely disappears all at once. It is surrendered incrementally. One justification, one emergency, one new system at a time.
Every time we give up a freedom, we make it easier to take the next one.
Draw the line.
