New Android virus dropped: TrickMo. The recipe:
1. Fake "TikTok" app from a Facebook ad
2. You grant "Accessibility Service"
3. The hackers grant themselves your bank account
Plot twist: it doesn't phone home through normal internet. It phones home through TON's underlying P2P network (ADNL). Your firewall sees encrypted blockchain noise. Your antivirus sees nothing. The malware sees opportunity.
The features you cannot defend against:
1. Watches your screen in real time
2. Deletes the bank's OTP text before you see it
3. Fraud transactions exit from your own WiFi, so the bank's fraud system gives a thumbs up
You find out from the chargeback. If you're lucky.
Here's the part nobody wants to admit: the hackers didn't break TON. They used it correctly. ADNL, RLDP, and TON Proxy actually work. Encrypted. Decentralized. Hard to surveil. The same tech journalists and dissidents trust their lives to. Crime uses good privacy tools for the exact same reason good people do.
Tor learned this. TON just enrolled.
🛡 Three rules. Forward to your family:
1. No APKs from Facebook ads. Ever. The Play Store has problems. Facebook ads have a curriculum.
2. "Accessibility Service" = "I now own your phone." Video apps don't need it. Nobody does.
3. Package name reads
