An even more complex predicament would be people being predatory in a context and victimized in another but gender essentialists really don't want to think outside this dichotomy.
All of this recreates the dichotomy of "the predatory male/male adjacent individuals" and "the victim female/female adjacent individuals". That's gender essentialism for you.
And ironically, posts like this don't address male abuse victims. I'm risking getting called MRA for this but patriarchy also abuses many men, in fact it may have been built on the manual labor of male slaves and sexual subjugation of female ones. That being said, military service is a great example of how men get abused by patriarchy, even sexually. Sexual assault is of no shortage in all-male spaces. But we don't see these deep analysis about how abuse has made men more submissive and unintentionally drawn to danger.
My issue with posts and analysis like this is that they represent predation and danger as something women are unknowingly and irresponsibly attracted to. That a specific group of traumatized women may be victimized. Some women definitely are (and no it won't make assault any less horrific) Personally my type in women is the type that wants me dead but what do I know There are many ways women have repeatedly and throughout history have tried to take dominance in their hands. Women are not a different species from men, they're a marginalized group. Posts like this however do not address the prevalence of predation and abuse.
My problem with most psych analysis posts I see is that they usually present a "one size fits all" description for complex behaviors and often unintentionally or intentionally feed into social issues Just read a psychoanalysis post discussing and exploring female sexuality, submission and attraction to dangerous men and while there may be some truth in the analysis; we need to ask if we're starting on the right foot at all. Is it submission and attraction or is it being manipulated? Are women truly submissive sexually or is this just an assumption? Are women indeed as dominant as men but it's expressed differently and in our society dominance is inherently associated with masculinity.
زنای سیس با زنای ترنس همونطورین که مردای سیس با زنای سیس هستن but y'all aren't ready for that conversation because you're too pussybrained to understand what that means
