One Thousand Women centers on women’s wrestling in Iran, shedding light on the challenges they encounter and their unwavering determination to overcome them. The film delves into the significant barriers women face in a predominantly male-dominated sport, including numerous restrictions imposed by Iranian authorities, such as a strict Islamic dress code and a ban on competing against Israeli athletes.
