Greetings Line is a documentary that centers on the preservation of a precious and historic wall painting dating back to the Qajar dynasty depicting Fathalishah’s court. The film incorporates interviews with art historians and museum experts, including Aydin Aghdashloo, Fathollah Niazi, and Mina Ramezan Jamaat, as well as voice overs to tell the fascinating story of the artwork and its creators. Afarideh masterfully weaves together art history and the social, cultural, and political history of the Qajar dynasty in Iran. This documentary, above all else, is an unraveling, dizzying, and spectacular look at the art of renovation in Iran.
