The risk of future.
The more money accumulated in a hands of single person - the more inequality between rich and poor.
That’s where government comes with taxes: to take a % (sometimes with a progressive %) and distribute back to the people (sometimes as a tax back, most of the times as a variety of benefits).
But it’s a similar to a giving a man a fish per day; while on an opposite side can be forcing to get rich
Imagine a mechanism when tax money is spent to buyback shares of the company from the market. And then when it’s viable this stake voted for a dividends.
While either the state get more money on their social needs gradually shifting the ownership balance
Or if AI will remove more and more human work - the dividends can be distributed to people and all the people will be stakeholders of a countries companies, of government / country efficiency
Basically instead of Universal Basic Income to Universal Basic Capital
But this is all imagination and dreams. On our level each of us can do ourselves: spent a share of each earnings, each month on purchasing stock.
In developed countries it’s already working with pension funds. Funds circulate in a country ecosystem.
Famous case: Norwegian Government Pension Fund Global, with up to 3% coming to government budget
In US it’s a Fidelity and Vanguard with pension money investing in corporations
Sure better distribute as a dividends for people with the power of an invisible hand of the market.
But government also needs budget for a social care and other spendings, so a portion on both will be a balanced solution.
While writing this - sounds like a mixture to get best of both: capitalism and socialism for people.
It sounds like a solution to distribute wealth when only 1-2% of population needed in agriculture, few percents in machinery and factories and etc.
