class: wizard. a wizard is a scholar who learns magic through study, research, and a lot of reading
they're the party's walking encyclopedia, and richard would absolutely start a lecture mid fight.

subclass: order of scribes. this wizard path turns the spellbook into a living, magical companion, and wizards of this order are all about writing, notes, and recorded knowledge
it matches your habit of reviewing everything and writing a full essay about it.

initiative: in dnd, you roll a dice at the start of a fight to decide who goes first

wizard: wizards know a bit of everything, and richard treats every hobby like a university course
