🪧 DeXe Protocol Achieves Major Milestone: Smart Contract Update Passed by DAO

DeXe DAO has overwhelmingly approved a critical proposal to overhaul the core smart contracts of the DeXe Protocol. This landmark decision marks a pivotal moment in the evolution of the platform, enhancing its functionality, scalability, and security.

💡 Here’s the Key Improvements:

✅ Native Coin Support: Enabling the use of native blockchain tokens (e.g., BNB, ETH) for governance pools, significantly expanding DeXe's reach and potential use cases across various blockchain ecosystems.

✅ Gas Optimization: The upgrade introduces innovative gas optimization techniques, such as using Merkle Tree proofs to whitelist users in "Token Sale" proposals. This optimization significantly reduces gas fees for users, making the protocol more accessible and cost-efficient.

✅ Enhanced 'Token Sale' Features: The proposal includes several enhancements to "Token Sale" proposals, granting users greater control and customization options. These enhancements allow for modifications before the sale starts and permission adjustments before it ends, improving the overall user experience.

✅ Additional Bug Fixes & Improvements: Several minor issues have been resolved, further solidifying the protocol's security and functionality.

🔐 Each modification underwent rigorous testing and an independent audit by
Ambisafe, ensuring adherence to the highest security, functionality, and compliance standards.

The successful passage of this proposal demonstrates the community's strong commitment to the protocol's long-term vision and its unwavering dedication to building a robust, secure, and user-friendly platform.

⭐️ This upgrade, expected to be implemented once every few years, represents a major leap forward. It not only strengthens the existing infrastructure but also paves the way for future innovation within the DeXe ecosystem.

Stay tuned for further updates as we continue to innovate and evolve!

Topic: Repeatable business models for DAOs

Organizing as a DAO is empowering and fun, but at some point the focus shifts to action. And, for most DAOs, even the public goods ones, the question of sustainable, replicable business models is crucial. Because “sell token, spend token” is not a complete business model. Our panel of DAO experts who in various ways have been tackling the DAO business model question for years includes:

⭐️ Ian LeViness of PushDAO
⭐️ peth of the MetaFam fame

📍New Proposal: Applying improvements to DeXe Protocol's Logic

A Validator proposes improvements to DeXe Protocol's smart contracts. Here’s following list:

💡Native Coin Support: Allow the creation of governance pools using native tokens as the main governance asset (BNB for Binance Chain, ETH for Ethereum, etc.) [Github Link.]

💡Gas Optimization: Whitelisting users in "Token Sale" proposals using Merkle Tree proofs to save gas in case of a long whitelist. [Github Link.]

💡Token Sale Proposal Modification: Added an option to modify "Token Sale" proposal preferences before it starts and to alter permission settings before it ends. [Github Link.]

💡Security: All modifications were developed following the explicit guidance of the members of DeXe Protocol Association's Council (represented as Validators on-chain). Ambisafe, a prominent security provider in the blockchain industry, audited the updated smart contracts. [The full report]
