About the role:
🔸As a Senior Backend Engineer, you will be working on server-side web development, building backend microservices primarily in Python or GO.
Responsibilities:
🔸Communicating with Product Managers to clarify/adjust requirements and timelines
🔸Taking ownership of a functional problem and coordinating solutions within the team
🔸Pivoting and trying new approaches when faced with challenges
🔸Breaking down complex system value requirements into workable functional pieces/tasks
🔸Using Scrum/Agile development methodologies for task allocation and timelines.
Expectations:
🔸Bachelor's degree or higher in software engineering, computer science, or equivalent.
🔸5-8 years of experience in software development
🔸Hands-on experience building backend microservices in Python or GO
🔸Experience in NodeJS and/or Java is a plus
🔸Hand-on experience in Kafka
🔸Experience with FastAPIs, and Spring boot
🔸Experience in streaming technologies (e.g. Spark) is a plus
🔸Experience in Elasticsearch is a plus.
🔸Knowledge of DBs (SQL / No-SQL), Dockers and Kubernetes
🔸Strong communication, interpersonal, and conflict-resolution skills.
