Non-GMO doesn't mean good. Not on bread.

GMO usually means glyphosate resistant, engineered so you can spray the chemical on the crop and only the weeds around it die. With wheat, the worst use of glyphosate has nothing to do with resistance. It's sprayed on the fields right before harvest as a desiccant, to kill the plant on purpose so it dries out faster. That wheat gets crushed into flour and goes straight into your bread, one of the highest glyphosate loads in anything you'll eat.

Non-GMO wheat is what makes that possible, because it's vulnerable enough to die when they spray it. That's exactly what they want when it's being used as a desiccant. So the non-GMO label on your loaf of bread isn't protecting you. It's a sign the wheat was killed with the same chemical you thought you were avoiding.
