It doesn't matter if Fauci was right about everything, or that he had the best intentions. He still infringed on people's civil and individual rights, and that's the problem.

He crossed the line on gain-of-function research, and he crossed it critically when he took away people's individual freedoms. Whether you see him as a villain or a hero, handing one person that kind of power is dangerous, because the next person you don't agree with might be handed the same power.

"This goes way beyond viruses and pandemics. Our constitutional rights are not rights endowed to us by the government, but protections of the rights that are endowed to us by God."
