🇪🇺 ECB Executive Board member Isabel Schnabel believes that it's time to move bank reserves directly onto the blockchain — so that interbank settlements, collateral, and liquidity can be automated with smart contracts.

This is NOT about a digital euro for ordinary people, but about money that banks use to settle with each other — and the Eurosystem is already launching part of such an infrastructure.
