🇸🇦🛢Saudi Arabia is considering a strategic shift in its oil transportation infrastructure, moving from maritime to overland routes.

🔸 In response to heightened insecurity along maritime corridors and recent attacks on oil infrastructure, Saudi Aramco is evaluating the feasibility of transporting crude oil by land to Oman for export via the Arabian Sea.

🔸Currently, the Kingdom relies primarily on two export routes: the Strait of Hormuz and the Red Sea. Both pathways have experienced escalating security tensions in recent years. Furthermore, attacks conducted by Yemeni forces have significantly increased the operational costs and risks associated with oil tanker transit.

🔸Consequently, Riyadh is seeking alternative logistics to transport oil through domestic territory to a more secure location before it encounters high-risk maritime zones.

🔸The proposed strategy involves transporting a portion of oil from the eastern region of Saudi Arabia via land to a new outlet on the Arabian Sea coast, thereby facilitating direct access to Asian markets.
