"I discussed this war in great detail with President Tokayev. I clearly outlined the position of the federal government, as well as my personal position on this war. You know that from the very beginning, we have stood and continue to stand on the side of Ukraine, and we are doing everything possible to ensure that Ukraine can withstand this war and preserve its territorial integrity and sovereignty in a free environment. I am grateful to President Tokayev for also speaking with President Putin about how we can bring this war to an end, and for his extensive diplomatic efforts. One such step was the visit or meeting of the German Foreign Minister – his trip to New York and negotiations with the Russian Foreign Minister. The subsequent assessment of these negotiations by Russia showed that, apparently, Russia is currently not interested in serious negotiations at all.
Therefore, we will continue to do everything possible and take all the necessary steps to support Ukraine. Not only in a military sense, but also politically, financially, and economically. And we can only reiterate our call to the Russian government to come to the negotiating table and engage in serious negotiations to end this war. But if Russia is not ready for this, then we are ready – and we are also ready to support Ukraine for a long time to come. On my part, I can only say again: Russia will not win this war. And Russia itself will suffer enormous damage, including to its economy. We are already seeing today the difficult situation in which the Russian economy is. If Russia continues this war, it will have a price."
