🇬🇧 Several men have been detained near the Fairford British airbase, which is used by the US Air Force, on suspicion of offenses related to explosives. Early on September 27th, police announced a serious incident, and residents of the neighboring village of Wellford were evacuated. Experts are inspecting several vehicles.

Armed police have blocked access to the main gate of the base. Emergency service vehicles are concentrated in the area, and evacuated residents are being housed in a local community center. According to police, the situation is contained.

Fairford is used by the US Air Force for operations against Iran.
