🗓 On September 24, Russia’s Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov and IAEA Director General Rafael Grossi held a meeting in New York on the sidelines of the High-Level Week of the 81st Session of the UN General Assembly.

The Sides held an in-depth exchange of views on key aspects of Russia’s cooperation with the Agency.

❗️ Particular attention was paid to Ukraine’s continuing attacks and provocations against Russia’s Zaporozhskaya Nuclear Power Plant (#ZNPP) and Energodar, the city where its personnel live, as well as the situation surrounding Iran’s nuclear programme in light of the Israeli and US strikes on Iran’s peaceful nuclear facilities under IAEA safeguards.

They also discussed other issues of mutual interest on the UN agenda.
