cursing and swearing at ppl isnt enough. i hope your favorite piece of media gets a 1h long """video essay""" about how much the fandom of that thing sucks but it wont be a legitimate discussion about shit like harassment or genuine character misinterpretation or fanon overshadowing canon. you won't see any screenshots of fics or posts or tweets or what have you. instead they will just say what they dislike in fan-works and how much everyone doesn't get the characters *unlike them* or recite canon and canon-adjacent events to say shit like 'i dont like when ppl that write fanfic exclude a specific characteristic that only exists due to plot relevance in a particular part of the story' while also having consumed like a third of the franchise at most with ppl in the comments wholeheartedly agreeing on medium rare type takes the actual fandom at large has already moved on from years ago. it is real. it can happen.
