Russia denies imposing anti-plague measures after death of lab worker

- Russian authorities denied Tuesday that they were imposing anti-plague measures after a laboratory technician reportedly died of the disease

- US President Donald Trump had said Monday that his country was looking at the situation “very strongly” and would “help them as much as we can”.

- US Secretary of State Marco Rubio demanded Tuesday that Russia be “transparent” about the situation

- An international conference on plague and other infectious diseases will meanwhile be held in Irkutsk on October 21-22
