Since 1986 the price of a Big Mac has been used to gauge whether currencies are at their “correct” level.

Rather than converting pay packets at volatile market exchange rates, McWages index compares the number of Big Macs a typical worker can afford with their earnings.

On an annual basis, America continues to top the McWages rankings. On an hourly basis, Switzerland comes out on top.
