Will be interesting to watch these power struggles between Trump loyalists. Normally, you would instruct cabinet Secretaries to reduce head count or budget. Here, Musk is doing himself. Sounds like cabinet Secretaries may not be cool with this much longer.

Cutting spending and make Gov’t more efficient can be terrific. The question with how it’s being done is are you trimming fat or also taking out bone, and does this make government more or less effective, more competent or incompetent. We will see! If they are right, America wins, which is awesome!

Said it this morning, reckless and grievance-fueled “change” like this does not make the American people safer, more secure or more prosperous. Just the opposite, it’s unacceptably dangerous and harms our national security.

Marianne from NY, great to meet you. She is a loyal

Trump smartly ran in ‘16 on ending the Forever Wars. In ‘24, his message to end the Ukraine & Middle East wars was popular. Curious how Americans will feel about taking over Gaza. Few have been successful doing real estate development - aka nation building - in that region.

Kudos @realDonaldTrump #DHSgov #KristiNoem et al for trying to clean-out illegals that are bad actors. It’s a problem everywhere, including my hometown of NYC. As a Dem, I likely won’t always agree with their actions, but rounding up and deporting the bad actors, amen

To those in favor Trump blowing out IGs & career officials, on behalf of the next D president, thank you for your support of his - or her - doing the same. Silence from the Cong. GOP and cheerleading from the conservative echo chamber will help with national unity at that time.

Ok, House D’s are beginning to think seriously. No agreement, of course, but you have to start somewhere. They and everyone in the Party should take a deep breath. Yes, Trump is off to a strong, impressive, fast start. New President’s often ride high their first few months. Then, legislative sausage making starts and unforeseen world and/or domestic events happen and they come back to earth - nobody bats 1.000. Maybe Trump 2.0 will be different. But, I think by Fall, D’s will figure out a strategy, leaders will emerge, a platform will emerge, and the laws of political physics will level the playing field. Or not 🤣

the beginning of
@realDonaldTrump
speech was classless and gratuitous, and so far, it's small and partisan, sounding more like a campaign stump speech than a bigger, thematic inaugural.

Just when one thinks Biden can't screw the Party any more, he does so again on his final day. These pardons today send a terrible message to the country and set a HORRIFIC precedent.

Happy Inauguration Day! Patriotic colors for this wonderful American tradition
