We broke up because we became too good at pretending everything was okay. We stopped talking about the things that hurt us, stopped asking what the other person needed, and slowly turned our relationship into something that looked happy from the outside but felt empty behind closed doors. In the end, it wasn’t one big mistake that ended us—it was all the little things we chose not to fix.
