🇺🇿 Cybercrime in Uzbekistan
Uzbekistan is taking stronger action against cybercrime in 2026, which has been declared the “Year of Combating Cybercrime.”
🔑 Key points from the first half of 2026:

🛡️ 9,282 cybercrimes were solved.

🔎 4,011 additional cybercrimes were identified early.

💳 18,838 bank cards connected to criminal activity were blocked.

💰 Authorities prevented the illegal withdrawal of 29 trillion soums — about $2.4 billion.

👥 More than 13,000 cybercrime victims received compensation.

💵 Victims received more than 120 billion soums in total compensation.

⚠️ Why does this matter?
Cybercrime is not only a problem for banks or large companies. Ordinary people can also lose money through online scams, fake links, fraudulent messages, and stolen accounts.
