#Poem
Battleward when you come,
Bring the strongest will, if you may
Leave all doubt at your trail,
And all pity at furthest bay.
Battleward when you come,
Bring all the hatred, if you may
Wreck this wretched Vessel
No diff'rent than the foes you slay.
Battleward when you come,
Bring the sharpest blade, if you may
Thrust and pierce, guiltless Dear,
And the rest shall be children's play.
Battleward when you come,
Bring all the vigor, if you may
Truest Deliverer!
Never let your valor give way.
Time and time, millions much,
Pains so countless, efforts so vain--
But Yours are the hands that shall Bear the World,
And I the Tomb of Iron, bound in chain.
Battleward when you come, I plead with you,
Break the cruel, endless cycle, if you may.
