Russia may use AI to block VPNs: the Ministry of Digital Development is already discussing the proposal. According to media reports, AI could detect VPNs even when they frequently change their IP addresses. Corporate networks, cloud services, and phone calls could also be affected. A total of 89 billion rubles is set to be spent on cybersecurity between 2026 and 2029, with most of the funding earmarked for blocking and filtering systems.
