Previously, Zcash developers performed an emergency update of the network after discovering a critical vulnerability in the main private pool (Orchard).

To resolve the issue, validators had to update the protocol out of schedule, and some transactions were temporarily disabled.

In addition, in recent days the team released several urgent patches to fix consensus errors that could potentially lead to chain splits.

It is currently unknown whether the current failure is directly related to recent network updates.
