🇭🇰 Franklin Templeton launches Hong Kong’s first tokenized money market fund (original)

This is the first step within the framework of the «Fintech 2030» strategy presented by the Hong Kong Monetary Authority.

The plan includes more than 40 initiatives. Among them:
• Introduction of artificial intelligence into finance.
• Creation of a full-fledged tokenization ecosystem.
• Launch of a settlement system based on tokenized deposits and the future digital currency of the Central Bank (CBDC).

The project is implemented together with HSBC (one of the largest banks in the world) and OSL Group (a licensed crypto broker and custodian in Hong Kong) - they test almost instant settlements between the banking system and the blockchain.
