🇫🇷 France plans to create a Bitcoin reserve for 420,000 BTC.

Eric Siotti’s party (UDR) is preparing to submit to parliament a bill on the formation of «national digital Gold» - a repository of 2% of the total Bitcoin emission (~420,000 BTC, equivalent of $48b) for 7-8 years.

The reserve is proposed to be replenished at the expense of:
1. Mining on excess nuclear and hydropower.
2. Withholding confiscated BTC.
3. Daily public procurement for €15m through Livret A and LDDS (state citizen savings programs).

The goal is to strengthen financial sovereignty and diversify foreign exchange reserves.
