🇺🇸The U.S. Congress started talking about banning CBDC again.

Republicans in the House of Representatives want to «sew» a clause to the bill on the market structure on the prohibition of the digital dollar from the Fed.

In July, the House had already adopted a separate Anti-CBDC Surveillance State Act, but now it is proposed to be merged with the CLARITY bill.

If the document passes, it will go to the Senate, where Republicans promote their version - the Responsible Financial Innovation Act.

Senator Cynthia Lammis is confident that by the end of September the bill will be adopted by the committee and may become law as early as 2026.
