🇰🇬 KYRGYZSTAN KILLS ITS "GOLDEN DOLLAR" STABLECOIN LESS THAN A YEAR AFTER LAUNCH

The state-backed USDKG, pegged 1:1 to the USD, is being wound up along with its issuer EVA and Coin Nomad Exchange, just months after the UK sanctioned the issuer over suspected support for Russia. Kyrgyzstan hasn't named the sanctions as the cause, but the timing says a lot.
