🚨 NEAR INTENTS HACKED FOR $3.8M+, AND THE FUNDS WERE BRIDGED TO BITCOIN WITHIN HOURS

What happened?
- The bug sat in how the Omni deposit/withdrawal infrastructure interacts with NEAR Intents' smart contracts
- The attacker made irregular withdrawals from the BNB Chain hot wallet
- ZachXBT flagged it: funds were sent to KuCoin, then bridged to BTC

The team's response:
- Vulnerability patched
- Full reimbursement pledged for all lost funds
- Deposits/withdrawals on BSC, Polygon, TON and others paused for ~12 hours while security partners and law enforcement help trace the funds

Market impact: NEAR token dropped about 7.5% as soon as the news was confirmed.

Worth noting: the NEAR blockchain itself was not compromised. The issue was in the cross-chain infrastructure layer. Another reminder that the links between chains remain the most vulnerable point.
