Deposit $100 at a bank, and you don't really control those dollars. The bank does.
Move money to another bank, or a stock to another broker, and you'll find you can, but only on their hours, with their approval, at a speed they decide.
Most of what we call digital ownership is controlled access. You hold a balance. Someone else holds the asset.
Tokenization changes where the asset sits. Onchain, the record and the asset are the same thing, and it lives in your wallet, not in an institution's database.
The point was never a digital dollar. It was a dollar you actually own.
That's the layer Mavryk is built for.
