Hyperliquid Officially Activates "AQAv2" to Buy Back and Burn HYPE with USDC Reserve Yield

Hyperliquid announced the activation of its "AQAv2 (Aligned Quote Asset v2)" framework starting August 26, which directs yield generated from USDC reserves toward programmatic market buybacks and burns of the native HYPE token. Under the structure—supported by Circle as technical deployer and Coinbase as treasury manager—approximately 90% of reserve yield is shared with the protocol and transferred in 30-day cycles to the Assistance Fund (AF) to execute HYPE buybacks and permanent burns. Yield accrual begins on August 26 with the inaugural payout and execution scheduled for October 3. — link
