On April 8, disagreements have emerged ahead of the U.S.-Iran peace talks, primarily centered around Israel's ongoing attacks on Lebanon. According to BlockBeats, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu expressed support for U.S. President Donald Trump's decision to pause attacks on Iran for two weeks, but clarified that the ceasefire does not extend to actions in Lebanon.
President Trump has agreed to this stance, stating in an interview that the two-week ceasefire between the U.S. and Iran does not include Lebanon and Hezbollah. Meanwhile, Iran has informed mediators that it will only engage in talks with the U.S. in Pakistan if a ceasefire is achieved in Lebanon. Iran has warned that continued Israeli attacks on Lebanon will lead to retaliatory actions against regional countries, including Israel.
Mediators have urged Israel to adhere to the ceasefire arrangements and halt military operations in Lebanon. The U.S.-Iran peace talks delegation is expected to arrive in Islamabad, Pakistan, on Thursday, with discussions scheduled for April 10.#USIranPeaceTalks #IsraelLebanonTensions #Netanyahu #Trump #Hezbollah #Ceasefire #Iran #Lebanon #MiddleEastPeace #Pakistan #PeaceTalks
