U.S. Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth announced on April 8 that the United States has achieved a decisive military victory in Iran. According to BlockBeats, Iran had sought a ceasefire agreement following the U.S. launching 800 airstrikes on Tuesday night, which destroyed Iran's defense industry infrastructure. As a result, Iran is no longer capable of producing missiles, rockets, or drones. The ceasefire signifies that Iran will never possess nuclear weapons.
The U.S. has accomplished its military objectives in Iran, and the ceasefire is described as a pause, with coalition forces ready to resume operations if necessary. The U.S. hopes Iran will choose lasting peace. All parties have agreed to open the Strait of Hormuz, allowing ships to pass through, and warships will "navigate" the strait. The ceasefire agreement will take some time to come into effect.#US #Iran #militaryvictory #ceasefire #StraitofHormuz #defense #militarystrike #nuclearweapons #peace #coalitionforces
