π How ATS systems affect your crypto job applications
When you apply for a role, your resume may not go straight to a recruiter.
Many companies use Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) to organize and sort applications before the hiring team reviews them.
An ATS may look for things like:
β’ Previous roles and responsibilities
β’ Skills listed on your resume
β’ Experience relevant to the position
β’ Terms and keywords that appear in the job description
That makes how you describe your experience important.
For example, if a company is hiring a Solidity engineer, a recruiter can quickly recognize relevant experience when your resume clearly mentions Solidity, smart contracts, blockchain development, audits or other work you've actually done.
If you describe the same experience using completely different language, the connection may be less obvious during the initial screening.
This doesn't mean stuffing your resume with keywords.
It means translating your real experience into language that clearly matches the role you're applying for.
Before you apply:
β Read the job description closely
β Identify the skills and responsibilities that match your background
β Use those terms naturally where they're accurate
β Keep your resume clean and easy to parse
β Put your strongest, most relevant experience where it's easy to find
Your experience hasn't changed. How clearly you communicate it can.
