CENTRALIZED EXCHANGE ASSET FLOWS
Let's take a look at where capital is moving across centralized exchanges this month. This overview tracks 30-day net flows across CEXs, highlighting which platforms are gaining trust and which are seeing capital walk out the door.
Why the market is rallying: The bulk of this move traces back to institutional demand through spot ETFs. August was the strongest month of 2026 for Bitcoin ETFs, pulling in $3.52B in net inflows as BTC rallied roughly 25%, its best monthly performance since November 2024, that single month cut 2026's year-to-date ETF outflows by two-thirds. The two weeks bracketing that surge were especially strong: +$2.62B (Aug 17–21, BTC $1.92B + ETH $697M) and +$1.75B (Aug 24–28, BTC $924.5M + ETH $824M), with BlackRock's IBIT alone capturing $938M of the latter week.
