💰 Wispr raises $280M in a Series B funding round led by Menlo Ventures, at a $2B valuation (up from $700M just 9 months ago).

Existing investors Notable Capital, NEA, Neo Ventures, 8VC, and MVP Ventures doubled down, joined by new investors Acrew, Forerunner, Goodwater, Peak XV, Together Fund, and PLUS Capital. The round also drew a wave of athlete investors - Joe Burrow, Shaun White, Klay Thompson, Paul George, Dak Prescott, and others.

Wispr (Wispr Flow) is an AI company building voice as the interface for computing, starting with an AI dictation tool now used by 10,000+ businesses, and expanding into meetings with a new AI note-taker. The round comes alongside the launch of Canto, Wispr's proprietary speech model cutting word error rates from 30% to under 10%.
