Polygon Closes Coinme Deal for US Payments

Polygon Labs completed its Coinme acquisition, turning its Open Money Stack into a US-regulated payments platform that covers 48 states.

Coinme brings 37 state money transmitter licenses, 11 exemptions and FinCEN registration as a money services business. The deal is part of a $250M purchase announced in January that also included wallet firm Sequence. Open Money Stack ties fiat on- and off-ramps, wallets, cross-chain routing and stablecoin settlement into one integration.

Tazapay, Mesh, Toku and Kira are among the first customers, using it for cross-border payments, on-ramps, stablecoin payroll and US dollar access.
