Plume and Figure launched the nPRIME vault, giving depositors direct access to yield from Figure's $30 billion home equity lending market through a single Plume Vaults deposit.
When Figure funds a home equity loan, it can take months before the loan is sold to a long-term investor, and banks traditionally provided the working capital to bridge that gap. Figure's Democratized Prime opens that role to investors, who earn yield by supplying the short-term capital. Hastra runs the funding auctions and packages the positions into PRIME, and nPRIME bundles it all into one vault, with no auctions to navigate and no positions to manage.
The launch adds real-world consumer lending yield to Plume's lineup of RWA vaults, following its Factor vault for invoice-factoring and working-capital loans earlier this month.
