Variational shared its VAR tokenomics and set the token generation event for Q4 2026, with 32% of total supply going to a genesis airdrop for points holders, fully unlocked at launch.
The rest of the supply splits into an 18% Ecosystem Reserve, held by the Variational Foundation for growth at its discretion, and 50% for team and investors. That half stays locked for 12 months after TGE and then unlocks over at least three years, with the exact team and investor split due before launch. Variational plans to put 100% of treasury revenue into buying back and burning VAR, and any unclaimed airdrop tokens will be burned as well. Points keep dropping at 150K a week until TGE, and a single point is enough to qualify.
Variational pushed the launch back from its original end-of-Q3 plan, citing major strategic partnerships it will reveal soon. Before TGE it plans to open Omni to public mainnet, expand swaps and publish a trading API. The protocol has raised over $60M, including a $50M Series A led by Dragonfly.
