ZETA holders voted to shut down the Layer 1 and migrate ZETA to Solana as a native SPL token, with the proposal passing 99.4% in favor on 58% turnout, well above the 40% quorum.
The team is redirecting its focus to Anuma, a private AI app it launched in February that now counts over 300,000 users and has served 1 million model requests across 35 models. It argues the project no longer needs its own chain, and pointed to the upkeep and security load of the Cosmos SDK stack, noting that AI tooling is making such vulnerabilities easier to find. ZetaChain raised roughly $27M three years ago. ZETA will convert 1:1 to a Solana SPL token, keeping its ticker, total supply and vesting schedules, though ZETA on Ethereum and BNB Chain is excluded from the move.
A second proposal will set the shutdown block and balance snapshot height once exchanges confirm support, so no firm date is locked in yet. ZETA slipped about 2.5% on the day as another well-funded Layer 1 opts to fold into a larger ecosystem rather than keep going alone.
