JUST IN: ⚠️🇫🇷 French lawmakers have supported a proposal requiring people who hold at least €100,000 ($112,000) in self-custodied crypto to disclose their holdings or face penalties.

The proposal could require holders to report their cold- and hot-wallet addresses to the French government. Failure to comply could result in severe penalties, potentially including the seizure of crypto and other assets such as homes and cars.
