Flow mainnet has successfully completed its upgrade, and the network is “back online on Mainnet-28.” The restart finalized at a new block start height of 137,390,146. The Flow Foundation confirmed that the public access endpoint is once again available and that the network has exited its coordination phase.

Under the updated remediation plan to address the [exploit], the Foundation stated that rollbacks are no longer expected and the ledger state is now considered final. While core mainnet functionality has been restored, the Flow EVM Gateway remains offline and is expected to return within the next 24–48 hours.
The Flow Foundation has started a mainnet spork to Version 28 following the [security incident] on the chain. The upgrade will roll back the Flow Network to block height 137363395 on Flow Cadenence and 51358233 on Flow EVM to remove the unauthorized transactions from the ledger. The corresponding release for this spork is flow-go [v0.44.4]. The Foundation has reiterated that all transactions between 11:25 PM PST on Dec. 26, 2025. and 5:30 AM PST on Dec. 27, 2025. will need to be resubmitted after the restart.

Mainnet Version 28 has been accepted and deployed by network validators at this time, with the network producing blocks, however, general transaction ingestion is paused, and the network remains in a “coordination phase” with ecosystem partners to make sure all systems are fully synced. The Foundation has confirmed it will confirm when the network is live once the coordination phase and synchronization are complete.
