Cristiano Ronaldo

🇵🇹🗣 Manuel José de Jesus Silva ComM (Ex-Al Ahly, Al-Ittihad, @Benfica & Sporting CP Manager) to winwinallsports:

"[Jorge] Jesus was forced to call up Cristiano Ronaldo to the Portugal squad, but he saw his poor performance, so he decided to have him warm up, and after 20 minutes he ordered him to sit down, because he knew what the player’s reaction would be.

Ronaldo fell into the trap, and everything was pre-arranged. That’s my point of view.”

His conclusion is stark:

“Ronaldo left the national team. And he left us debating his departure when we should have been celebrating the journey

A BOLA’s Luís Aguilar delivers a powerful opinion piece on Cristiano Ronaldo’s departure from the Portugal national team.

He argues that Ronaldo’s departure was an ending nobody wanted, but one that everyone failed to prevent.

Aguilar believes the problem goes beyond Copenhagen, saying Portugal gradually confused gratitude with dependence and stopped treating Ronaldo as a footballer, instead turning him into a monument whose every decision became a national issue.

He also criticises Jorge Jesus, arguing that being right to choose a striker does not mean being right in how the situation was handled. He questions the gap between Jesus’ public claims that there was no problem and Ronaldo’s eventual departure.

The FPF also comes under scrutiny, with Aguilar arguing that the federation should have prepared for Ronaldo’s eventual departure and ensured that the coach and captain had clear expectations.

🇵🇹 These are Cristiano Ronaldo’s top six EVER performances for the Portuguese National Team, based on FotMob ratings!

Is the journey over? 🥺

LEADER.

The numbers speak for themselves 🐐

Respected, loved, adored. 🇵🇹✨

This billboard spotted in Lisbon in support of Cristiano Ronaldo:

"Thank you Cristiano Ronaldo for everything you've done for Portugal - You will always be our captain."

"Jorge Jesus fell short. Lack of sensitivity managing the CR7 asset. Mistreating a captain. Inflated ego."

🚨 SICNoticias

The Portuguese Football Federation (FPF) wants to prevent Cristiano Ronaldo’s relationship with the national team from ending this way, without a tribute and without the presence of the Portuguese people in the stadium.

However, it remains unclear whether the FPF’s objective is to reintegrate Cristiano into the squad or organise a farewell match for the 41-year-old forward.

🚨 marca

The Portuguese Football Federation (FPF) is already working to make peace with Cristiano Ronaldo and will try next week, with the player’s agreement, to bring all parties closer together, including national team coach Jorge Jesus.

The federation hopes the situation can be resolved, with the relationship returning to being cordial and healthy, and Cristiano’s Portugal career not ending because of recent events.

Within the FPF, there is a belief that Ronaldo deserves a respectful and dignified ending, befitting everything he has demonstrated throughout his career.

No matter how hard you try, you can’t erase greatness.

Even when he’s not on the pitch, his presence is still felt.

🚨🇸🇦 Al Nassr's fan council is working on something special for Cristiano Ronaldo.

According to Nawaf_STATS, it is an initiative to support the legend in the upcoming match, and the council is already working on it.

There is one thing missing. It is waiting on the budget before it can go ahead.
