Based on true events, Lilja 4-ever tells a story as harsh as it is necessary.
Lilja is a teenager who is abandoned by her mother and left completely alone, trying to survive in a difficult environment. Without support, her life becomes increasingly difficult, and her only refuge is her friendship with another boy, Volodya, who is also facing a similar reality.
When the opportunity arises to start over in another country, Lilja believes that everything will finally change… but nothing turns out the way she expected.
This film shows how vulnerable people can be deceived with promises of a better life, reflecting a reality that still exists in the world.
A short but very powerful story that leaves you thinking 💔
