PEP 734: Multiple Interpreters in the Stdlib (Публичное Python API к сабинтерпретаторам) был принят:

Вообще, уже был достигнут feature-freeze для 3.14 (после этого момента не добавляются никакие новые фичи), но руководящий совет решил сделать исключение.
