That creates a very specific innovation model,
Research density is enormous,
Patent production is substantial,
But venture capital is less dominant than in New York or San Francisco!!
This matters particularly in areas such as AI, advanced computing, telecom infrastructure, display technologies and semiconductor-related systems.
📄 A research-heavy cluster can produce excellent science and large patent families.
The harder question is what happens after publication, prototype and filing...
Who licenses it?
Who spins it out?
Who funds the company?
Who owns the commercialization rights?
⚡️ That conversion layer increasingly matters as much as research output itself.
