📄 Abstract:

Medial open wedge high tibial osteotomy (MOWHTO) is becoming the preferred treatment option in active patients with varus malalignment and medial compartment osteoarthritis of the knee to delay the degenerative process and decrease pain and dysfunction. In this technical note, we aim to describe the tips and tricks of how to perform a safe MOWHTO based on the recent literature.
