Isn't autumn a perfect season to finally pick up the second book in the Belladonna series? I'm 100 pages in, and I'm already so intrigued and absolutely mesmerised by the characters. The aesthetic of the sequel is slightly different from the first book, bringing kinda royal vibes into the picture. I really enjoy how the gothic atmosphere of Belladonna bleeds into Foxglove, while smoothly merging with a true Bridgerton-esque charm. The MMC here is an entity called Fate with powers to weave and end human lives as he pleases. I was pleasantly surprised that the language in the sequel is more sophisticated and exquisite than in the first book, with quite poetic descriptions and advanced vocabulary. My obsession level with this series is activated again
