And then I tell you that you asked me to meet you here for coffee, but you don’t seem to remember that. You say “I asked a girl to meet me here, not you.” And you stare at me as though you’ve never seen me before in your life.
I don’t say much else, because it’s obvious you’re off in your own little world. It’s best not to bother you. I’ve tried it before, many times in fact. It’s never gone well, and I’m not so invested in you to deal with you when you’re like this. I know that eventually you’ll cool down a bit, that you’ll apologize later, and while I know that, it hurts anyway. I guess I just have to smile and move on.
You’ll lose a lot of sleep over this.
